(More customer reviews)This is the same Y-wing fighter for the Hasbro 3 3/4" Star Wars figures that was released several years ago as a Target exclusive, save that it is painted with a red trim, blue canopy frame, and silver body. It is essentially a copy of the origional Kenner Y-wing from the early 1980s, but without the electronics and removable R2 Robot unit. The landing gear retract using a switch, a bomb can be attached and dropped by pushing a button, the canopy opens sideways (like in the movies), the cockpit is detailed and seats one figure, the ion cannons elevate and rotate, the R2 Robot's head turns.
I was surprised when I found this at a Toys R Us, and quite pleased as I had previously been unable to purchase the rare POTF Y-wing released at Target. My hats off to Hasbro for providing a second chance. The vehicle, while undersized in scale, nonetheless appears accurate to the movie version. It is NOT loaded with funky, innacurate features as some Hasbro Star Wars vehicles are. A removable R2 unit (like on the large X-wing just released) would have been preferable, however. The paint job is nice and includes some wear and tear. All in all, the Y-wing is a good addition to a Star Wars vehicle collection.

Star Wars Jabba the Hutt Deluxe Figure Review

(More customer reviews)I've been wanting a Jabba toy for some time and this one almost meets my expectations. Jabba is about 8 inches long and 3 1/2 inches high. I would have liked him to be a bit larger since he such an emense character, but the amount of detailing mostly makes up for that. Jabba is appropriately covered in wrinkels and sports a multi colored paint job. The blending isn't perfect when viewed up close but from a short distance he's very life-like. Only Jabbas torso and arms are articulated wich give him limited posability, but we are talking about a slug character here.
Included with the figure is a stand that holds his pipe (with a flexible mouthpiece) and a fish bowl that includes a rabbit/frog like creature. Jabba comes holding the creature (by way of a clear rubber band) but you can store the little guy in the bottom of the pipe to keep him fresh for snacktime.
Although there is room for improvement with this Jabba figure (a bit more care in the painting, the ability to hide that gross tongue and an articulted tail would have been nice), there's no denying that he looks pretty cool amongst my other Star Wars collectibles. If you're a Jabba fan this is a no-brainer.

r2-d2 star wars saga legends assortment figur Review

(More customer reviews)I gave this to my 5 year old daughter. My son got the clone wars version. She really enjoys the sounds and lights. The legs also articulate and have very functional rollers on the bottoms.
On the down side, the head doesn't spin, which I would prefer to the light up eye. On the other hand, I dont think my daughter has even noticed. Also the third foot doesn't come off or retract. This is pretty annoying as we cant load R2 into a Jedi star fighter. I hope it fits in an X-wing fighter (my not so secret b'day present).

(More customer reviews)i recieved this figure in the week of november and let me explain the awsome details of this figure! i am a star wars collector and have been looking for a power of the force admiral ackbar for a while. i like the freeze frame picture that is included with it. ok- the good things about this figure: for being an original power of the force mold, it is extremely detailed for its time, and you can see the color difference between his under shirt and his "vest" which has the badges of rank. he is NOT loose at all!! figures joints are nice and durable to move, and his wrist-comlink blaster fits on his arm nice and snug!!! it is not loose and falls of every time you move the figures arm. it stays!! however this figures arms and legs do not bend at the elbows and knees. but as all star wars fans know, hasbro is re-releasing figures for 2010 and they have yet to release an Admiral ackbar. so if you want a Admiral ackbar figure to lead the attack on the second death star then i highly recomend this figure!

Seriously though, the figure's not that great, and to my disappointment, the flying lizard thing is non-removable. I gave it to my mom though, who's a huge Yoda fan, and she loves it. Guess it depends on what you're really into.

Kotobukiya Samurai Sword Chopsticks Set: Sanada Yukimura Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered a pair of these chopsticks from Amazon (although they don't appear to be offering them now at the time of writing). I have used them three times since they arrived and have had no issues. They are lightweight, sturdy, easy to grip, and have a nice point at the end. The end of the chopsticks that look like Katana handles do not add any noticeable weight and do no make the chopsticks any harder to use.
The quality is nice and they are definitely a product I would recommend! I've received a number of compliments and amused remarks from coworkers at lunchtime wondering where I had purchased them.

(More customer reviews)I remember when Hasbro restarted the Star Wars figure line in the mid-1990s. I was really look forward to getting the Tusken Raider because I always thought they looked so majestical in the film. However, I was disappointed with this figure. It just seemed like Hasbro didn't know how to handle the cape. It looks odd and is split down the sides, showing the Tusken's undergarments (he looks like a mummy). Also, he could only hold the gaffi stick in one hand because the other was permanently closed. Fortunately, nearly a decade or so later, Hasbro released the Star Wars 3.75 Vintage Sand People Figure, which is absolutely stunning.

(More customer reviews)General Jan Dodonna, the brilliant strategist who orchestrated the attack on the first Death Star from the small moon of Yavin 4 (not that it was rocket science), finally makes his mark on the world of Star Wars action figures. The figure is well crafted, particularly the highly detailed hands, and comes with a Star Wars figure base, three medals, and a blaster pistol. Why the good General comes with a blaster pistol instead of a pointer I have no idea. The medals, on the other hand, seem to be intended for Han, Luke, and...I don't know, Chewie? Supposedly, he got his later, so I guess so. The figure is an excellent addition to the Star Wars line, which is soooo much nicer nowadays than the silly looking figures I LOVED as a kid. It may not be the most exciting toy in the bunch at play time, but what's cooler to add to your display than a character you never thought they'd make in the first place? It's the little things in life ya treasure.

Jakks - Star Wars 5-in-1 Plug N Play TV Game Review

(More customer reviews)This Star Wars game is the best plug and play game of its kind. You get to choose amongst five games. Included are two Jedi themed games, two starfighter themed games, and one in which you ride a Boga across the planet of Utapau. My personal favorites were the Coruscant Attack and the Utapau Chase. In the CA, I am Obi-Wan in a Jedi starfighter as I shoot down droid ships while trying to bring down battleships. Once you learn how to control the ship, it is all down-hill from there. In the UC, I am again Obi Wan as I ride a Boga shooting down or slamming enemy Bogas into the wall. The final showdown involves a duel with General Grievous' speeder. I recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a good video game.

Star Wars Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader Set Review

(More customer reviews)If you want to "teach" your children the George Lucas religious value of "morals" this is your guy. Yet I fail to see how good couldn't get caught up in this mess too. The Episode II character is very flimsy and if you use the mechanism for duel wielding his hand not only "comes off" so does the hilt of his sword. Vader is cool, good likeness to young Anakin (scarred) instead of Old Anakin.(scarred and played by Sebastian Shaw.) in return of the Jedi. The other is Episode three Anakin "Darth Vader" Skywalker post his corruption with Emperor Palpatine. Pryor his dark armour "gift". It would be interesting to have this and Mace Windu and The Emperor as well as the "lucky" devil who "escaped", mister sandmaster himself, Obi Wan Kenobi, to complete the pivotal package. Though the picture show(Lucas artsy-fartzty movie) was terrible, this is an interesting tale. Though "good" is sometimes "unethically preachie".
