LEGO Star Wars Sandcrawler Review

I just received this set for Christmas from my brother. Since I'm a big fan of LEGO's and Star Wars, I was very happy to receive this set.
This set has a huge part selection (1669 pieces) and takes about five or six hours to complete. This set includes several Jawa minifigs and is currently the only set that has the Jawa's. It also has several different droids and Uncle Owen but no Luke. Of course, pretty much every other Classic Star Wars LEGO set has Luke so no big loss there. This set also has hundreds of the unique technic link treads which are very hard to find.
Overall, this is a pretty good set. You can remove the workshop from the body of the Sandcrawler so you can access the various droids. It also has a hatch for the Jawa driver and a ramp that lowers so you can remove the crane section. However, there is a lot of wasted space in the set. I would have thought LEGO would have been able to use more of the dead space in the vehicle because it's essentially a big castle set on wheels. Also, while I really like the unique track design and steering mechanism, it doesn't roll that well on carpet.
Despite the few drawbacks and expensive price, this is a pretty solid set and looks very similar to the Sandcrawler in Episode IV. If you're a Star Wars fan, you will like this set. It's a must-have for your Tatooine layout.

Luke Skywalker's Uncle Owen is shopping for some new droids at the Jawa Sandcrawler. There are plenty to choose form, including R2-D2 and C-3PO. But the Jawas drive a hard bargain, and danger is never far away.
Re-create the classic scene from Star Wars Episode IV with this incredibly detailed model. Remove the center section of the Sandcrawler to reveal the Jawa workshop. Use the crane to load droids into the Sandcrawler, and open the hatch to reveal the inside. Cockpit opens to load a driver. Steering mechanism lets you guide the Jawa vehicle to its next adventure. Measures 15"L x 7.5"W x 9"H when built. 1,669 LEGO pieces in all.

Star Wars Micro Machines Master Collector's Edition Review

Star Wars Micro Machines Master Collector's Edition

Micro Machines was one of our favorite toy companies for many years, until they were closed down in 1998. Their tiny miniature toys were wonderful, and you could carry a dozen of them in your pocket when the car size one were only 1.5 inches long. They had really nicely designed toys from Star Wars, including the "Star Wars Master Collector's Edition" from 1994. This set includes a huge collection of 19 vehicles from the first 3 movies of the original Star Wars trilogy along with stands to display them on (although we preferred to play with them).
including:
6 vehicles from Episode IV, "A New Hope" including an X-Wing Starfighter, Jawa Sandcrawler, Imperial Star Destroyer, 7-Wing Starfighter, and the Millennium Falcon.
7 vehicles from Episode V, "The Empire Strikes Back", including a Tie Fighter, Snowspeeder, Imperial Tie Bomber, Slave 1, Bespin Twin-Pod Cloud Car, and the Imperial AT-AT.
6 vehicles from Episode VI, "Return of the Jedi", including Imperial AT-ST, Jabba the Hut's Sail Barge, B-Wing Starfighter, Speeder Bike with Rebel Pilot, Imperial Shuttle Tyderium, A-Wing Starfighter.
1 Limited Edition "Super Star Destroyer Executor" you could not get anywhere else, and was only available in this set.
Great toy for collectors or just to play with, takes up a lot less space than the regular size Star Wars toys.
