Star Wars ARC 170 STARFIGHTER Review

Star Wars ARC 170 STARFIGHTER

A new movie and we get a large new ship to go with it! This is a cool looking fighter and it is comparable in size to the old FX X-Wing. It has space for three crew members plus a droid - none of which come with the vehicle. There is a retractable gear in the nose, and a "control stick" that pops out the bottom. Pull a trigger on the stick to drop bombs from another small compartment. The S-foils open on the wings and are manually operated without a switch. The wing cannon fire a missile and have a little rotating gun. There are two canopies and some cockpit detail. There is the tailgun that rotates and elevates. The ship assembles easily, with pieces snapping together.
The amount detail is reasonable, but not as good as with past Hasbro Star Wars vehicles. In a glaring lack of quality, screw-holes were left all over the right side of the vehicle, and the undersides of the wings (you can actually see this in the picture of the ARC-170 on Hasbro's Star Wars toy website. Other companies manage to fill in or conceal these holes on their vehicles, so why Hasbro didn't do that is puzzling and it wrecks the overall look of the fighter. It is also nearly impossible (at this early stage) to find the Clone Pilots that crew this vehicle and the Republic Gunship. Hopefully these will be avaliable in much greater numbers here on amazon and at other stores in the near future. The rebel pilots I have flying the thing now just don't look quite right!
The Hasbro ARC-170 is an ambitious attempt, but falls short of its potential - the exposed screw-holes and unavaliability of the pilots being the real sticklers. The Red 1 X-wing and Y-Wing avaliable a few months ago were actually better vehicles, in my opinion.

Star Wars - 08 Packaging with Stand - Voolvif Monn Review

Voolviff Monn was a jedi master during the clone wars and is a possible surviver of order 66. His durability is perfect besides the fact that his head can come off. His standing ability isn't always the best and may be difficult if you have a short-temper. His lightsaber is a unique shape and fits nicely into his hands. Last, this character is one of my favorites and is a great edition to any collection.

Star Wars Palpatine Figure #35 Red with Red Lightsaber Review

Star Wars Palpatine Figure #35 Red with Red Lightsaber
Average Reviews:

If action figure of Palpatine # 35 is the one i bought, then this action figure of Palpatine is very unique as it gives you the choice of removable hands- one with a lightsaber in his hand (fused) and the other for sith lightening. I do believe he also comes with a regular empty hand. It also has a removable head of the Chancellor to put another similar but different version head on his shoulders-the sith version head which has Sith eyes and a bit of disfigurement of Palpatine's forehead and face. One of his arms is action moved by pushing down on the figure and the other is poseable by you. This would be a good figure to have if you have a fighting version figure of Mace Windu in a brown removeable cloak and a lightsaber poised to strike as to relive the battle between the two in the Chancellor's Senate chambers. Switch Palpatines head and hands after the lightsaber duel to reflect the force lightening being used against Mace and the distortion of Palaptine's forehead and face as his bolts of lightening are reflected back at him. Or if you rather, just put the normal hands on and the Chancellor's regular head to have him pose prior to being attemptedly arrested. (So he still looks like the regular Chancellor). This figure is great but i only wish two things myself- 1. that his one arm isn't action moved by pushing down on the figure-i'd rather pose the arm myself and 2.- i wish you could remove the lightsaber from his detachable hand and have it as a two piece lightsaber-handle and blade separate but able to connect when you are ready. But it is still a great figure to have in your collection to relive some scenes from "Revenge of the Sith".

This is the first Grievous figure I've gotten, so I don't have much to compare it with. Still, I can really respect the detail and articulation. This is a tough figure to make because the limbs are so thin, but by and large Hasbro got it right. The only problem for me is that the cape is too thick. It looks like it's choking him (OK, I know, he's a cyborg, he can't choke). Maybe try flattening it out a bit before putting it on him.

Star Wars 3.75 Inch Scale Clone Wars Evolution Pack - Padme Amidala Legacy 3Pk Review

I bought this collection for my 8 year old daughter who LOVES Star Wars. I would compare the product to the Polly Pocket dolls. She has spent hours playing with the dolls and has them "hanging out" with her other Star Wars action figures that are usually marketed for boys. Definitely worth the money; a good buy for girls who love Star Wars.

Star Wars Starfighter Vehicle E3 Ve01 Anakin Skywalker Jedi Starfight Review

Star Wars Starfighter Vehicle E3 Ve01 Anakin Skywalker Jedi Starfight
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
This, the last expected episode in the Star Wars saga should certainly bring about a long line of product that might seem never ending. So, it begins with the Sneak Preview line of toys, which to date includes 4 figures, and Anakin's Starfighter
We've seen starfighters before. We've seen x-wings, a-wings, tie fighters and virtually every vehicle and weapon in the Star Wars saga. So, is this Starfighter any different?
The answer to that is, yes, and no. No. It's not a whole lot different. The price is typical of Hasbro's Star Wars line of vehicles this size. There's not a lot different in that it has two firing missles, and the wings open up. The cockpit opens, and allows for an Anakin figure to fit in. A nice novelty is that it comes with a "generic" R2-D2 who's dome spins, and, can be removed and replaced with an actual R2-D2 figure. A really nice touch.
The design itself is rather cool. (Leaves one to wonder where the engine is at, though). But, it's unique design is definately
cool.
Durability? Quality seems similar to previous starfighters. Drop it too hard, and I'm sure something will break. But, not super fragile, either. It's pretty decent heavy duty plastic quality.
Kids who like Star Wars should like this as much as any previous version of starfighters. The fact it comes in a cool box and has a cool design doesnt hurt things.
As is typical with Star Wars products, "Figures not included".
One annoyance, at least to me, is with the decal instructions. The Star Wars vehicles come with a 2 dimensional picture that looks different than the actual product. If one is not looking for a purist's placement, then it will not matter. For those who want the decals placed in the proper place, this might be a bit annoying.
For collectors, I won't swear that this is going to increase in value; however, if I were to guess it, I'd think it should. The reason is, with this being the last episode Lucas plans on making, I do believe we will see the largest line of toys ever.
That said and done, this Sneak Peak starfighter could be of interest to collectors down the line. I say this because I suspect that this packaging won't last too much after the movie is released, and the new line comes out. Therefore, this may be in demand later. At least that's my gamble. And, if not, at least it's a cool looking starfighter.
Bottomline: This is a must have starfighter for collectors and fans alike. It's cool, not overly expensive at $20, and, pretty fun for kids. A definate thumbs up on this one.
SCORE: 95 of 100.

Awesome starfighter loaded with action features: opening canopy, firing missiles, retractable landing gear and wings that spring open! Anakin Skywalker is one of the most skilled and daring fighter pilots in the Republic. His amazing piloting abilities make him a powerful ally and a formidable enemy. Anakin and his former master Obi-Wan Kenobi battle deadly droid fighters while on a dangerous mission to rescue Chancellor Palpatine, who has been kidnapped by Separatist forces.
Pilot this awesome starfighter to adventure. Open the canopy and place action figure (sold separately) inside. You can fire the launching missiles at enemy fighters, or activate the spring-open wings. Cool detailing and retractable landing gear help to blast you into a galaxy of excitement.
Some assembly required. Vehicle comes with labels and instructions.

Star Wars 2010 Vintage-Style Carded Darth Sidious - Foil carded variant Review

Star Wars 2010 Vintage-Style Carded Darth Sidious - Foil carded variant
Average Reviews:

This is easily the best version of Darth Sidious out there (although there are probably better Emperor Palpatine figures). The detail on the face is amazing. This looks more realistic than the awful makeup in Episode III. The sunken eyes and yelling mouth look particularly evil. It's easy to see the resemblance between this version of Darth Sidious and Palpatine as we see him in Episode VI. Moreover, the soft goods are very well done and cover the entire figure. I think the robes probably should have been a bit looser because as it is Sidious looks a bit too thin. Also, the blue "Sith lightning" doesn't stay on his hand easily (I gave it to Darth Bane instead). Overall, this is a great figure for fans of Episode III or any of the Sith figures.

Star Wars E3 BF63 WOOKIE WARRIOR Review

Star Wars E3 BF63 WOOKIE WARRIOR
Average Reviews:

My son loves the Star Wars figures and overall we've had a good experience with quality, durablity, posability. But the shield that accompanies the figure falls out of the open hand all the time and is very difficult to put on on the closed hand without breaking the shield handle. The weapon is amazingly incompatible with either hand and can't be used--I'm not sure what the designers were thinking.

The heroic Wookiee Warrior helps the Republic forces when the Separatist droid armies invade his home world of Kashyyyk. With a firing Wookiee bowcaster, this detailed action figure lets you reenact scenes from Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith or create your own galactic adventures.

Star Wars Black & Silver Vintage > Grievious with Cape 3.75in Action Figure Review

Star Wars Black and Silver Vintage > Grievious with Cape 3.75in Action Figure
Average Reviews:

This is it: film accurate in scale with your other 3.75 Star Wars figures (he's BIG!), great poseability, and nicely detailed with a cloth sewn cape with eight sewn pockets for unextended lightsabres!
The figure has double joints in the knees, jointed at the ankles and has better poseability in the arms and wrists for just about any configuration.
The cape is sewn of two types of cloth with functional pockets for his extra stolen lightsabres! He comes with two extended and two unextended.
This is one of the nicest figures I've seen in a while by the Hasbro Star Wars team and a good value considering the detail and quality - they could have cheesed out on the cape and size again but they went all out to make this the definitive Grievous figure. I found mine at TRU yesterday.
Even if you despise the recent trilogy as I do this is a terrific figure of a nifty villainous character.
