(More customer reviews)This was a very pleasant surprise. Very solid (though not a playable toy...this is an adult model), and quite large! Extra parts let you pose the "Big G," with the flight bays tucked into the main fuselage or fully extended. You will note that the right bay is not identical to the left. That is by intent. Fans of the show will recall that the right bay was turned into a giftshop! The Galactica had become a museum in her retirement, just as the cyclons attacked and the series began.
A fitting tribute to "The best show on Television," and very handsome on your desk or bookshelf.

(More customer reviews)After visiting the Star Wars exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philly, I rediscovered a love I had always had for plastic model kits. No, this is not the most complex model out there, and depending on how geeky you want to be, it is not the most accurate of kits out there, BUT, this kit inspired me to get back into model making, which was a bit distraction for me back when I was in my early teens. This was a great kit to get back into kit building, and I experimented a little and built a diorama for this model. I now have a great piece of desk art. This was a fun little re-introduction to kit building.

(More customer reviews)I have not put the model together, yet. The only real problem I have encountered is: The instructions are very limited. I really wish that they had been a bit more informative. There is a lot of guessing going on. But, when put together, I will have a Star Destroyer.

(More customer reviews)This particular version of the Jedi Starfighter is from a deleted hangar scene in Attack Of The Clones. It varies from the original only in that it is turquoise in color with a yellow R4 unit. Fun the first time around and still is now.

They use digital 3 dimensional scanners to capture a real object as a digital file; adjust as needed and then translate it to a sculpting machine. Sure, it cheats out folks with the talent to sculpt it by hand, but for accuracy it cannot be beat.
More of a collectable than a toy, the bust-ups are fantastic and inexpensive limited-pose statues from the bust up. Packaged in a limited order, you never know what you are going to get from set to series; so its fun to trade them back and forth when you get extras.

(More customer reviews)Quite impressive! It's really solid metal (total weight is over 1/4 lb), and is faithfully realistic in detail. What surprised me most was discovering the entrance hatch opens. The people who made this knew -and loved- what they were doing.
I do not recommend this item for little kids because -if thrown- it will hurt whatever it hits.
Otherwise, I highly recommend it: it is an object crafted by fans for the enjoyment of fans.

Titanium Series Star Wars Ultra Clone ARC-170 Review

I was expecting a Hot Wheels size 170.
There was a large box, so I thought the person packed it well.
Wrong ...
There were 3 ultras in the box, & 3 3.75" figures.
It was my lucky day.
It's mostly metal.
The moving part is:
cockpit - pivots
Gotta get outa here ... Vader's coming.
WHOOSH!!!

Revell Star Wars ATAT Review

(More customer reviews)If for some reason you don't know that Revell is NOT a toy company, you do now. This is a plstic model and is meant as something to be built and displayed, not played with. It is only listed under the generic "Toys and Games" subject because that is where all models seem to be listed on amazon. THAT being said, it's a very good model, easily put together, and can be made to look just like one of the AT-ATs out of the movie with very little work. Though this is listed as a snap-together model, the wise modeller will glue the pieces on or they will, like all snap models, work themselves apart in time. The AMOUNT of time this takes to happen depends on how often you handle the object.
Overall, a pretty good kit, but, if you buy this thinking it is a toy, well........you won't do it twice, that's for sure.

Darth Vader's - Tie Fighter Review

(More customer reviews)I ordered this knowing it was a model, but taking a chance that it would turn out good enough to stick on my display shelf. Well, I was pleasantly suprised. Sitting here looking at it on its stand it is a very good looking piece. The only reason I give it 4 and not 5 stars is the paint is very bland. I am going to do a little blackwash on it to bring out the details and grunge it up a bit. This is still very much worth the money, and I can see it being used as a cheaper alternative for younger kids to play with. I agree with other reviewers that if thats the case I would probably use a little model glue on a few parts but it holds together pretty well. As far as assembly it took me about 45 minutes from opening the box to finished product. I could also see it being a bit difficult for younger kids to put together, but just help them out and this is a good model for kids (short attention spans, immediate results)

Revell Star Wars - X-Wing fighter Review

(More customer reviews)Price is descent and glad I bought it for its lite weight and dimensions!
My youthful son didn't seem to care much if it was a heavier or more durable version of the X-Wing.
The lite plastic parts are fairly straight forward for an adult to assemble like 15 minutes with a favorite beverage. :)
I noticed that the laser cannons on each wing can fall off or break if a child isn't careful.
Overall, I'm glad I purchased it and might buy the bigger more heavier and expensive version when my son gets older. Somehow will have to convince my spouse when that time comes.

The X-wing has been continually updated throughout its design lifetime. The original T-65B fielded by the Rebel Alliance was a competent strike fighter for its time, but was soon supplanted by the T-65CA2, boasting improved acceleration. The T-65CA3 improved the avionics, shields and sensors; the T-65CA4 was primarily another engine upgrade, which made it nearly the equal of the A-wing in maneuverability. This kit is quick to assemble and requires no glue or painting, it has illustrated assembly instructions, movable wings and laser cannons, movable cockpit cover, can be assembled with or without undercarriage and includes 2 figures. Some assembly required.
