(More customer reviews)This watch is made of LEGOS. Legos are made of plastic. Not rubber. I can't imagine why someone would expect Legos to be rubberized, but I guess some people expect everything to be bomb-proof. My 6-year old son and several of his friends have this watch or its various permutations (Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker) and they have had no problems wearing it to school. It's not designed for incredibly rough-playing, but the boys I know wear it at recess with no ill-effects. We also had no problem putting it together, but we put together Legos all the time, and are used to playing with them. It's easy to set, easy to size, and easy to customize. Plus, it comes with a cool Darth Maul figure, and his double lightsaber! The only downside is that I can see someone who's not careful breaking the clasp. So far we've had no problem, and we've owned the watch for over 6 months.
