The kit builds a very solid A-Wing fighter that features movable guns mounted at the tip of each wing and a cockpit canopy that a person can raise toward the front of the A-Wing to reveal a green-suited pilot and a Lego block with a simulated horizon on it. As with many recent Lego kits, this kit features four decals.
Also included in this kit are a technician and a cargo hauler. The cargo hauler has smooth round pads on the bottom that allows someone to move the hauler on most surfaces.
Unlike some Legos in this series, the A-Wing has relatively few parts that a person might easily knock off in play. The engine parts behind the A-Wing are probably the most easily detached pieces, and those parts are surrounded by other pieces. If you are looking to make a diorama, you may wish to buy several of these kits because this kit looks so good.
This kit was relatively easy to build, and most builders in the target age range of 7 to 12 years old should be able to build this kit in under an hour.
We have enjoyed Legos for decades, and the Star Wars Legos have been especially interesting to us as we are also fans of Star Wars. This particular Star Wars Lego kit is an excellent value for the price, and is a perfect gift for children of all ages 7 and above.
