They have tough blades that can take a pretty decent beating, the motion sensor system responds beautifully and they are blindingly bright in the dark (in daylight, the blade light doesn't show up at all but in the dark it's amazing). That being said, the Mace Windu model is by far the weakest one. Possibly the best handle design with the coolest on/off button, this saber takes 6 AA batteries (Why so many???), and it's sound effects are half the volume of the other Force FX models. The sound quality is the worst of all the sabers - most sound like the real deal and this one sounds like a recording being pushed through laptop speakers --- tinny. I've had two of them (the second a warranty replacement) and both have had electronics problems. The first had a powerpack meltdown and the second has LEDs that have become disconnected within the blade (about 50% failure). My recommendation for awesome sabers are the Obi Wan blue, the Anakin blue, the Yoda green and the Darth Maul double blade red.
