(More customer reviews)Discontinued in 1994. This is a level 1 model kit, meaning it is very easy to build and perfect for beginners. It is labeled ages 8 and up, but younger kids could even tackle this with supervision. No glue is needed, the pieces snap together. It is not necessary to paint the model, it comes with the proper colors on each piece. The model is of the All Terrain Scout Transport, or AT-ST, as seen in the Star Wars Return of the Jedi film. A sticker on the box proclaims it a commemorative edition, and that it is an accurate reproduction of the vehicle. The 1994 kit is actually an identical reissue, even down to the packaging, of a model that was released when the movie first came out. The model is 6" high when assembled, has an opening hatch and a moveable control pod.
