Once the late `90s 12" Star Wars figure line started to explode in popularity, Kenner decided to issue several figure 2-packs and distribute them exclusively (for a time, at least) through specific retailers. These sets drove collectors crazy, as they often featured characters that fans had long requested.
This set featured Luke Skywalker in Hoth gear and the Wampa, the fearsome ice monster featured in the Empire Strikes Back.
Pros - This is a terrific Luke figure. He's got an incredibly detailed outfit and comes with a ton of gear, including goggles, a helmet, binoculars, a blaster pistol (that fits in his holster) and a lightsaber (with detachable hilt).

Cons - The Wampa "figure" is pretty useless. It's like that dreadful Star Wars Collector Series 12" Chewbacca Figure figure in that it's essentially a stuffed animal with a wire frame. Only the hands and face are detailed. It doesn't pose and really doesn't stand on its own. Oh, and the yellow circle on its fur makes it look like a dog marked his territory.
This Luke Skywalker figure was later released under the Action Collection banner, so unless you really want the world's ugliest stuffed animal, you're probably better off with the individual Luke.

12" Star Wars Collection Series Luke vs Wampa. Nice coloring on the Wampa. They are fully poseable figures and come with authentically styled outfit and accessories. This was produced in 1997 by Kenner. Wampa measures 14" tall and Luke is 12 1/2" tall. Luke is dressed in Hoth gear including a gun and light saber. The figures are fully poseable. Great find for collectors! THIS WAS A TARGET EXCLUSIVE BACK IN 1997 AND WAS HARD TO FIND BACK THEN.
