(More customer reviews)Once the late `90s 12" Star Wars figure line started to explode in popularity, Kenner decided to issue several figure 2-packs and distribute them exclusively (for a time, at least) through specific retailers. These sets drove collectors crazy, as they often featured characters that fans had long requested.
This set featured Luke Skywalker in Hoth gear and the Wampa, the fearsome ice monster featured in the Empire Strikes Back.
Pros - This is a terrific Luke figure. He's got an incredibly detailed outfit and comes with a ton of gear, including goggles, a helmet, binoculars, a blaster pistol (that fits in his holster) and a lightsaber (with detachable hilt).
Cons - The Wampa "figure" is pretty useless. It's like that dreadful Star Wars Collector Series 12" Chewbacca Figure figure in that it's essentially a stuffed animal with a wire frame. Only the hands and face are detailed. It doesn't pose and really doesn't stand on its own. Oh, and the yellow circle on its fur makes it look like a dog marked his territory.
This Luke Skywalker figure was later released under the Action Collection banner, so unless you really want the world's ugliest stuffed animal, you're probably better off with the individual Luke.

This set -- a limited edition sold exclusively at Target stores in 1997 -- features the Jedi knight in Hoth gear and a white vicious 14-inch Wampa beast, as seen in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.Window box shows Luke in his Hoth cold weather gear, complete with jacket, helmet, visor and several accessories, including a lightsaber, laser pistol and binoculars. The Wampa is authentically styled with horns around his ferocious fanged face. He has claws on his hands and feet.Box had some shelf wear. Figures are mint and have never been removed from box.
