(More customer reviews)I ordered this for my boyfriend for Christmas because he loves his iphone like crazy, and storm/clone troopers have always been his favorite characters from the Star Wars universe. I wish it had been a "Hard Shell" Case, because that would've made him happier. In truth, I didn't pay full attention when I was ordering it because it was really hard to find and I was ecstatic when I did. I should've read the product details more clearly. That was my fault completely. However, he loves the half-helmet design as opposed to the actual "Hard Shell" case, which features a complete helmet, but ends up looking like a silly jolly roger emblem, or cartoon character. So, that worked in my favor. Since Christmas, though, he has only used it a few times. He assures me he likes it, but I understand the concerns he has with it, and my oversight is the cause of his reluctance (he prefers the Hard Cases only), so again, that's my fault. A few things I can tell you about it that might help you decide if it's right for you:
Pros:
-It has a nicely detailed design.
-Does slip on simply and stays in place very well.
-No trouble with using buttons.
Cons:
-Attracts pocket lint VERY easily, and gets fingerprint smudges on the white Trooper design which makes it look dirty. Unfortunately, after being used just once, it has a permanent look of needing to be lint-rollered, no matter how clean you try to keep it. Very, VERY annoying. If you like to hold your phone all the time, it may not get as dirty (maybe...although constant handling may make the Trooper turn black quicker, and it will still gather lint from leaving it on your bed/couch/car seat, etc). If you keep it in any kind of pocket, then you're really S.O.L.
-Silicone Case instead of Hard Case. I just don't feel the Silcone Case has anywhere near as much to offer as a Hard Case does. (Again, personal preferance, I suppose).
-Offers little to no support for protection (My boyfriend drops his iphone all the time. That is why a Hard Case is better for him. If you are not the clumsy type, there's no need to worry...but if you are, it would be best to steer clear).
That's about it really. It's not much, but to be honest, there isn't much to say about this product. It's decent, but not great. It's just kind of...blah. Like getting a re-gifted present from that crazy Aunt who you don't really know and sends you boring/useless/wtf? kind of gifts. It might be cool, but offers no real use. Unless you're a great lover of Silicone cases, I would say it's not worth it to buy.
BOTTOM LINE: With such an awesome design, it honestly should've been used for a Hard Case, or at least been made with the option for either/or. We've discovered Silicone is a POOR choice for an iphone, and Hard Case is the only way to go. It's disappointing, but whatever. We are on the hunt for a better Trooper Hard Case now!
