(More customer reviews)QUALITY: The robe runs small, is of decent quality and will keep you warm on a cold night. The plastic mask, of lower quality, is very delicate and cracks easily. The ruby jewel on the mask was not attached when I received my first order (from another co.). When I ordered the larger-sized replacement from CC, the mask had minor cracks (hardly noticeable when taped in the back), and the ruby was missing. I had to go to Michael's to buy a replacement: a 20mm (about 3/4") diameter plastic ruby with flat backing, in packages of 20 or more labelled "Jewelry Essentials" brand acrylic jewels, $2.99. (I wish the heavy weight, not plastic, head piece with "real" hair was available for sale.) Despite the manufacturing imperfections, from what I've seen this is still one of the most interesting, store-bought, non-skimpy female costumes I've seen. This is an officially-licensed Star Wars costume made by Rubies.
SERVICE: Honest, fast service. Reasonable return policy.
COST: Not cheap, esp. when you add S&H -- so make sure you get the right size. It is reasonably-priced compared to other comparable costumes I've seen in stores. This product was on sale since shoppers are forewarned on the Amazon product description that some masks are cracked and missing the jewel.
SIZE: I am 5'3," 110 lbs., and originally ordered a standard size and found it *short*, and too snug. The sleeves were above my wrists and the short length extended to above my ankles. The collar overlay is only in the front (does not go all around the neck), and sags down so one can see the shoulder seams of the main dress. It was also too tight around the neck.
If you look at the photo of the costume on Amazon, the packaging (same image as on the Amazon site), and actual Star Wars movie photos, you'll notice that the costume is designed to fit in a drapey way, with a floor length. I returned the standard size and got the *Large* size. The large generally fit me the way the photo looks on the Amazon site and packaging.
