I got this 2 days ago. Mine's like the Luke Skywalker 1 except the blade is green. It has power up and power down sounds, light up blade (*that won't light up in the top 2 sections of the blade, due to the spring inside), battle sounds, and sounds when it moves. Of course, the blade also springs up when you activate the switch. The reasons I give it a 4: 1. See * and 2. it powers down if you push the blade into the hilt (after it's in) or push the switch again (blade is still out). But the rest is great. You do have to hit it sort of hard if you want the battle sounds. It doesn't hurt if you extend it at someone, but don't experiment. Also, don't "fling" it like you would do with a regular electronic lightsaber, it has enough force in itself to get it to stick. I also want to discourage anyone who looks for any small bad thing to try to make this look like a piece of junk. This is a great item for any Jedi padawans, knights, and masters out there who want a lightsaber like in the movies.

Use the force with the incredible Force Action Lightsaber! Just like in the Star Wars movies, this toy weapon springs into action, lights up, and makes realistic lightsaber sounds. Luke Skywalker's weapon of choice, this toy is recommended for young Jedis ages six and older.Just Like the Movies Originally the lightsaber of Anakin Skywalker, this weapon was passed on to Luke but tragically lost during a fierce contest against the evil Darth Vader in the cloud city of Bespin. In your hands, this weapon can once again serve to save the galaxy. This weapon swiftly extends to more than three feet long with the sliding of a button. The spring-activated blade is made with translucent blue plastic. Built-in segments fully retract into the handle, and the blade is illuminated with bands of light. While it's intended for use against another lightsaber--and not a person or animal--the blade is built from a safer, softer plastic than the durable, hard plastic handle, just in case. The silver and black handle features dynamic accents.Realistic Sounds For more than 30 years, Stars Wars fans the world over have been inspired to make their own lightsaber sound effects, but now, the Force Action Lightsaber does it for you. The toy creates the distinctive power-activated "humming" drone that creates anticipation in moments between swings. This lightsaber also replicates the burst of electricity as the saber turns on and the blade extends as well as the "wave" of the blade as it hovers through the air.Using the Force Unlike the lightsabers of the Star Wars movie, the toy doesn't retract with the push of a button. After turning the weapon off, the blade can be collapsed by hand--but be careful not to jam the blade too tightly into the handle.A couple of times while playing with the lightsaber, the blade did not extend when the power was activated; the sound effects started up, but the "on" button had to be pressed more than once to get the blade out.The on/off button looks as if it should also control the volume of the lightsaber--but it does not. Parents who get sick of the "humming" can remove the batteries, as the lightsaber requires three AA batteries (not included) for its lights and sounds. But Skywalker's Lightsaber wouldn't be half the fun without its glowing arc-wave energy blade, and the blue light is especially mesmerizing in the dark. While it's always exciting to fight against villains, the lightsaber is a great toy for young Jedis learning to wield the Force on their own.
