(More customer reviews)This Greedo figure was part of the early wave of Kenner's 12" Collector Series line. It's not the work of art that the later Sideshow figures are, but I really enjoyed collecting the `90s 12" figure line, even these minor characters.
Pros - The head sculpt on this figure is absolutely fantastic. It's super-detailed and looks very realistic.
Cons - That shiny green suit is something better suited to disco stars and `70s mobsters, and even they might think it's garish. There's also the fact that Greedo's blaster is permanently molded into his hand. I assume they did this because it would be too hard to make movable fingers as long as Greedo's, but I also suspect it was to subliminally convince us that yes, Greedo was in fact capable of shooting first.
You get the good and the bad with this one. It's not an essential figure by any means, but if you're collecting the 12" Star Wars figures you're probably going to want one.
Edition Notes: The early version of the Greedo figure came in the original style packaging (with a photo on the front flap) and was exclusive to a particular retailer (I don't recall which one). Later versions came in the open-front green box and were available everywhere disco-suited aliens are sold.
