(More customer reviews)Garindan is a character which has a proboscis nose that resembles an uncircumcized penis which is what I am sure most of the audience was thinking. Don't let the nose fool you, though as the role was played not by a male but a female actor named Sadie Eddon in A New Hope. Kind of like how Bart Simpson's voice on the Simpsons is voiced by a female voice actor, Nancy Cartwright.
Garindan is an iconic character who also is reminiscent of a plague doctor from the Black Death days of medieval Europe.
This action figure is such an iconic and memorable character that it is a must have for any action figure collector from the most nonchalant to the most avid collector. The Power of the Force version looks like a plastic bubble gum version, this version has a high quality mold and carving craftsmanship to it as the newest generation of STAR WARS action figures, ie Saga Legends, Vintage Collection 2010 has.
Maybe because that was where that segment in the STAR WARS movie was filmed, Garindan looks indispensibly Tunisian and fits right in with that North African World, he is that and that type of archetype.
