(More customer reviews)Republic Commando Scorch could be classified as an "Expanded Universe" figure because it is not featured in any of the Star Wars films but rather from the best-selling LucasArts video game Republic Commando. Delta Six-Two aka Scorch earned his nickname after an ordnance explosion temporarily singed off his eyebrows (rolls eyes). Anyhoo, the figure itself is nicely articulated except for the knees which are permanently posed in a semi-bent stance. He includes a large backpack and oversized blaster from the game and display stand and a randomly inserted mini-hologram figure.
Scorch has been extremely difficult to find for several reasons; 1. He is one of the first legitimate "Expanded Universe" figures since the Zero-G Stormtrooper of the late-90's. 2. He is a "Troop Builder" figure that will be purchased in quantity by collectors. 3. Hasbro is only shipping one each of Scorch and the elusive Clone Commander Cody per case assortment. This means that collectors, scalpers, and hoarders will all be frantically buying them up and he won't be hanging on the pegs for long. In fact, I've never even seen one since the Coruscant Wave was released which is why I resorted to purchasing it here from Amazon.
I have seen others comment on this and many other products about their buying experiences of collectible toys from Amazon and I myself have had similar experiences of receiving figures in somewhat less-than collectible condition. Last year I purchased a few Holographic Emperor figures that were a Toys R' Us exclusive and received them on slightly damaged and bent cards. Whether it is Amazon or Toys R' Us who is shipping them out, quality control is not very collector friendly, but if you are just looking for one (or more) to open loose and can't find it at retail, keep your eye on Amazon and snag one of these hot figures quick before they are gone.

When the battle begins on Geonosis, clone trooper Scorch is ordered to engage the Separatist droid army. Scorch's Delta number is Six-Two, but he is well known for his humorous mishaps. Although he is a competent soldier and an excellent explosives technician, "Scorch" earned his nickname after an ordnance accident that left him without eyebrows for a short time. Includes 2" hologram figure. Figure measures 4".
