(More customer reviews)This is actually a rare discontinued version of this toy, from 1995. Its the Star Wars Power of the Force Electronic X-Wing Fighter in the red box, #69780, from the Rebel Alliance. The green box toys were the next release by Kenner in 1997.
It had an electronic feature that had sounds from the movie, the laser firing sounds and pressing down on the R2 Droid triggered the X-Wing deployment sounds and opened the wings. The Kenner Star Wars action figures fit inside the cockpit just right, and the cockpit glass raises and lowers. You can release landing skids from the bottom for standing on a shelf. A terrific toy from the golden age of Star Wars toys. Looks great hanging from the ceiling in my office by the way.

Produced by Kenner in 1995. Approximate size of unopened box is 14 x 12.5 x 4 inches. Requires 2 AA Alkaline batteries (not included). Figures are sold separately.
