Boba Fett. The greatest bounty hunter in the Star Wars galaxy. Over the years, he has gotten many different forms of him in action figure form starting with the classic and much desired 5-points of articulation Kenner Boba Fett. Now there is a newer Fett available and this latest reincarnation of the Journeyman Protector turned Bounty Hunter turned Mandalore.
Packaging: Wonderful package. You get a clear view of Boba Fett and his accessories. On the card is a wonderfully CGI-isk image of Boba Fett from what seems to be his Cloud City scene. On the back there are a couple of flaws. The figure pictured on the back is not the figure in the packaging, but the figure from Pit of Carkoon... Also his species is "cloned human" instead of human. And his bio has some nonsense about being a clone of Jango Fett... Basically some nonsense from Ep. II that completely ruined the wonderful story Boba Fett had in the 90s.
Figure: The figure is great. There are about 16 points of articulation on the figure. His head is on a ball joint. His shoulders are ball and hinge joints. His elbows can rotate and are ball joints. His forearms also rotate. His waist rotates and his hips can move forward and back. His knees are just like the elbows and his ankles are just as articulate. In other words; he is as articulate as an average human in most respects. However, there is one slight problem: there is a "fuel line" running from his right gauntlet to his shoulder. This will constrict movement. One thing I am super glad about is that his helmet is not removeable! Unlike Jango Fett and the clones and even some of the stormtroopers (wth?) there is no Temura Clone head. This figure really brings back the mysteriousness and coolness of Fett before AotC ruined his back story.
Accessories: Fett comes with his specialized sawed-off rifle (a carbine with a ginormous stock). The gun is one piece and one color; black. there is a shoulder strap, but since it is plastic, you can't really put it on his shoulder. The gun is easily held in his right hand and, after some work, can fit in his left.
He also comes with his jetpack. like other's have stated, the Jetpack doesn't stay on too well. But it is fine. If you want it in permanently, glue it on. But it isnt necessary, it stays in well enough for poses and play. And If it falls off, just put it back in.
Unfortunately, the coin he comes with has nothing to do with Fett or his Mandalorian skull. instead it is a movie coin with Skywalker and vader... Nothing cool.
Now another complaint is the cape he has: It doesn't stick straight up! It is nice and low but is thick enough that it wont get any unnecessary folds. It has three holes and one can go over the nozzle on the jetpack to keep it down if you feel it is too free.
This is a great figure and I highly recommend it to any Star Wars fan. Easily the best figure since Kenner's first fig. I took one star away from education because the info on the back is based on post-AotC s***.
