This is a good update to the 1999 Darth Maul from the speeder bike, but that's all it is, an update. This figure doesn't have nearly as many points of articulation as modern figures. The legs look too skinny and long for the character (although fortunately they do bend at the knees). The head paint looks better and neater than the original figure. One reason Hasbro has reissued this figure so many times is because it fits well in the Star Wars Starfighter Vehicle Sith Infiltrator. Still, I really hope Hasbro issues a new Darth Maul in their vintage line so we can have a Darth Maul figure worthy of his epic battle in Episode I.

Measuring approximately 3 ¾â? tall, Saga Legends 2010 Series 01: SL08 Darth Maul features multiple points of articulation, and is accompanied by character-specific accessories and a nameplate display base. The black-clad Darth Maul is outfitted with a fabric hooded black robe, and is equipped with conjoined red lightsabers. Darth Maul was the apprentice of Darth Sidious, subjected to grueling training and held accountable to harsh discipline intended to scour away all traces of weakness or conscience. Maul was transformed into a nearly mindless killer driven by the singular objective of tracking and reacquiring Queen Amidala, in the course of which he was pitted against Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn. Maulâ?TMs lightsaber technique was honed into a two-pronged attack capability, which he utilized in instances where multiple opponents were involved.
